| 1. We want to use the Apple Intenet Access Setup program to configure the dilaup software on your IMac. From the Apple Menu, select Internet Access->Internet Setup. |

| 2. You will see this welcome screen. Click "Yes" to create a new connection and go to the next screen. |
|
| 3. The computer will ask you if you have an Internet account. Click "Yes" to go to the next screen. |
|
| 4. This screen lists the information you will need to connect. Click on the little blue arrow to go to the next screen. |
|
| 5. Enter "ASDE Internet" as the name of your connection (as shown in the image to the right), and then click the little blue arrow to go to the next screen. |

| 6. Check the answers on this screen. You probably have the standard Imac modem. Click on the little blue arrow to go to the next screen. |

| 7. Enter our telephone number (562-3595) for connecting to the internet. Also, enter the username and password you chose when you signed up with ASDE. (Remember to use all lower case letters.) Click on the little blue arrow to go to the next screen. |

| 8. This screen asks if you need a dialup script. Click "No". Click on the little blue arrow to go to the next screen. |
|
| 9. This screen asks if you have a dedicated IP address. Click "No". Click on the little blue arrow to go to the next screen. |

10. Enter the domain name servers

| 11. In this screen you set up your email. Enter your email address and password as shown, then go to the next screen. |

| 12. This is where we configure the email servers. Enter username@mail.asde.net (where "username" is the username you chose) and mail.asde.net in the blank for SMTP server, then go to the next screen. (NOTE: Your actual email address is your username followed by "@asde.net", however on this screen we add the "mail." to identify the mail server.) |

| 13. Leave the "NNTP (Network News Transfer Protocol) host" box blank, and then go to the next screen. |
|
| 14. We do not use a proxy server. Click "No" and then go to the next screen. |
|
| 15. You are now done setting up your Imac. Click "show details" so you can review to make sure that everything looks correct. |
|
| 16. Compare your setup to the one here. If yours is dramatically different, go back and fix it. Otherwise, select "go ahead" and log in. You should hear the modem as it dials. If it fails to dial correctly, first make sure you have the volume on (this is in the Control Panels) so you can hear the modem when it dials. Double check the phone number. (If you are dialing long distance, make sure there is a "1" in front of it and the area code code "660".) Double check your username and password. They both need to be lower case. |

| 18. These are your Internet settings. You can select the tabs and change the settings if you ever need to. |

| 19. You can connect to the Internet by starting one of the Internet programs such as Internet Explorer or Mail, or you can select control panels->remote access. |

| 20. The "Remote Access" window allows you to connect, disconnect, or change the username, password and telephone number for your dialup connection. If you don't see these choices, click on the little triangle in the upper left hand corner. |
