Dear ASDE Internet Customer,
A number of our Internet subscribers are using the program "MailWasher" to control SPAM they are receiving in their email. While we have received favorable comments from those using the program, it important that the "bounce" feature of this program is NOT used.
The purpose of the "bounce" feature is for the program to automatically send the message back to the sender. However, since the senders of the SPAM do not normally have a legitimate email address, the message gets sent back to ASDE's Postmaster mailbox as an undeliverable message. This can result in the Postmaster mailbox being flooded with messages and increases the risk of pertinent messages being missed.
To disable the "bounce" feature, simply uncheck the "bounce" box (see "Image #1" below.) Once again, it is important that you disable the "bounce" feature if you are using the "MailWasher" program.
