Changing the dialer so it is not dialing long distance. (These steps are not necessary if it isn't dialing long distance.

If you use the Sprint’s Infolink service (for non-Maryville customers), your dialer needs to be set up to dial our access number as a local call. If you are dialing our service as a long distance call, you will be billed long distance charges by Sprint. ASDE is not responsible for any long distance charges you may incur. To check if the dialer is attempting to dial the connection number as a long distance number, and change it, do the following:

  1. Click “START”.

  2. Click on “Connect To”.

  3. Click on “ASDE Internet”.

  4. If the number being dialed is shown as a long distance number, click on the “Dialing Rules” button.

  5. In the “The area code is:” box, remove any number in there and then type in “660”

  6. Click on “Edit”, the area code should have “660” in box. Then click “Apply” and “OK”.

  7. Check to make sure the number being dialed is a local number. If it is, then try connecting again. If it is still being dialed as a long distance number, call ASDE.
