SETTING UP AN EMAIL ACCOUNT FOR "ASDE.NET" IN WINDOWS MAIL

IMPORTANT - READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION CAREFULLY

This will instruct you on how to create an email account for "asde.net" email.

 

  1. Click on "Start" in the lower left corner of the desktop.

  2. Click on "All Programs"

  3. Click on the "Windows Mail".

  4. If the "Setup Wizard" starts, move to step 9. Otherwise, continue with the next step.

  5. Click on "Tools" on the menu bar.

  6. Click on "Accounts" on the drop down menu.

  7. Click on the "Add" button.

  8. Click on "E-Mail" account.

  9. In the "Display Name" box, type in your name.

  10. Click "Next".

  11. Type in your "email address".

  12. Click "Next".

  13. Leave the "Incoming e-mail server type" as POP3.

  14. In the "Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server" box, type mail.asde.net

  15. In the "Outgoing mail (SMTP) server" box, type mail.asde.net

  16. Leave the "Outgoing server requires authenication" box unchecked.

  17. Click "Next".

  18. In the "E-Mail username" box, type in just your username (not your entire e-mail address.) Remember to use all lowercase letters.

  19. If you want to save your password, place a check mark in the "Remember password" box and then type your password in the Password box.

  20. Click "Finish".

  21. Click "Finish" on the next window. Note: If you do not want to download your e-mail at this time, put a check mark in the appropriate box.

  22. Click on the "Close" button on the "Internet Accounts" windows.
