What is the Community Campaign?

       St. Gregory Catholic Community has recently initiated a campaign that will focus on our development as a community of faith. The community was surveyed and four major areas emerged as areas of concern:

  •     The Youth: hiring a youth director and creating a designated space
  •     Physical Plant: Updating both church and school including maintenance issues, meeting space needs, as well as addressing some liturgical space renovations.
  •    Faith Formation: Systematic, ongoing faith formation opportunities for all members of the parish community and adequate accommodations for such.
  •    Endowments: Further enhancing our endowments for the sake of current and future ministry.

    To this end, all member of the community are being invited to various gatherings which will permit not only the strengthening of our social ties, but will also afford us time to discuss and articulate our priorities.

    December 12th has been designated Pledge Sunday, when the community will be asked to put their faith into action. We are dreaming how the future might be different for our youth and our worship space. This will be the day for us to give flesh to our dreams and allow us all to express the depth of our faith.

Community Campaign Prayer

O God of the past, the present, and our future,
we ask for wisdom, compassion and giving hearts
as we, the community of St. Gregory’s, strive to deepen our faith in you.

We lift to you our sacrifice of time, talent, treasure in praise and thanksgiving.
We ask that you inspire the youth of our community;
may their faith in you remain firm and steadfast.

May we transform and create a home that welcomes and fulfills the needs of all.
We pray that the Holy Eucharist truly touches our hearts and unites us.

We do all of this in faith, hope and love
in the name of your beloved son, our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Amen.
