Friendly Neighbors
FRIENDLY NEIGHBORS is an organization comprised of men and women age 55 and older. The prime purpose of this group is to provide fun and fellowship for the Senior members of our parish. They meet at 1:30 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month in the Parish Hall to play cards. They host the Tri-C Seniors and are their guest annually. St. Gregory's Guild

ST. GREGORY'S GUILD is a social and service organization. All women over High School age are members. Dues are $5.00 per year. The meetings are held the second Tuesday in January, April, July and October, beginning with a 6:00 p.m. Mass. The meeting is held after Mass. The Guild provides monies for sanctuary and Church needs. The women work together on funeral dinners, wedding receptions, and receptions for parishioners that may be requested. All the ladies serve by means of a monthly rotating system, donating food and helping prepare or serve the meals.

St. Gregory's Circles

 

ST. GREGORY'S CIRCLES support the Guild. They are smaller groups of 15 – 20 women. The parish has three active circles: St. Gerard's Circle, St. Therese's Circle, and St. Anne's Circle. All women are encouraged to join.

St. Gerard's Circle meets the second Wednesday of the month at 1:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall. This circle makes tray favors for Village Care Nursing Home and carry out meals for senior citizens. To raise money for their projects, each year the members of St. Gerard's Circle sell chances on a home made quilt. If you are interested in joining St. Gerard's Circle you may contact Edna Ramos, chairperson, at 660-582-7719.

St. Therese's Circle meets the second Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the home of one of the members. This circle also performs service in various aspects of parish life: For more information contact Alice Barmann, chairperson, at 660-582-3307.

St. Anne's Circle meets the third Wednesday of the month (excluding the months of January, April, July, and October) at 7:00 p.m. in the home of one of the members. Their mission is to promote religious/parish education and make everyone feel welcome in our church community. This circle is composed of younger women of the parish. This circle also performs many service projects in the parish, including donation of items to the parish Religious Education Program and summer Vacation Bible School. The also have provided refreshments and made rosaries for the RCIA groups. They also have a welcoming committee to welcome new members to the parish and inform them of parish activities. They support new mothers by offering help and support at time of new births, and sending cards to welcome the new baby. Dues are $10.00 per year to help pay for the materials needed for their various projects. For more information contact Lisa Throm, chairperson, at 660-562-8503.

 

 
Boy Scouts of America

BOY SCOUTS – Boys are invited to join Troop 74. Meetings are held on Monday. Cub Scout Troop 74 meets every Saturday morning.

 

 
Girl Scouts of America

GIRL SCOUTS OF AMERICA – St. Gregory's sponsors Girl Scout troops by providing a meeting space for them. Brownie Troop #305 meets on Tuesdays, 2:45 0 4:15 p.m. during the school year in the Leitner Room. Junior/Cadette Troop #169 meets every other Wednesday. Deanery Council of Catholic Women

 

DEANERY COUNCIL OF CATHOLIC WOMEN is the association of the Catholic women of a particular area. Every diocese is broken into smaller groupings called deaneries. The Catholic women of Burlington Junction, Stanberry, Parnell, Tarkio, Ford City,
Conception Junction, and Maryville are united in Deanery #10. They meet quarterly in the different parishes. All Catholic women are welcome to become active in this association, which attempts to unite all Catholic women of the diocese. For more information contact Bertha Goettemoeller at 660-562-3743.

Knights of Columbus

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS, Maryville Council #1339 is open to practicing Catholic men over the age of 18. This is a Catholic, Family, Fraternal Organization that meets once a month. For more information contact Brian Henggeler.
