St.
Gregory's Community Bible Reading Event
November
14th to November 18th, 2004
The
Prayer Committee of the Community Campaign is sponsoring a Bible
Reading in support and celebration of the Community Campaign.
From Sunday, November 14th, to Thursday, November 18th,
members of St. Gregory's Catholic Community will be reading
the entire Bible, from Genesis through the book of Revelation.
That's five days. This will take place in the
Blessed Sacrament Chapel (Cry Room) in Church.
There
are four ways you can participate:
1. Readers:
Approximately 320 people are needed to read aloud for 15 minutes.
2. Facilitators:
About 80 people are needed for one hour to support
and aid individual readers.
3. Listeners:
Come and listen to the Bible being read for as long as you want
and whenever you can.
4.
Everyone in the parish can pray at any time and any
where for the success of the campaign and
for the success of the Bible reading. Those
prayers will mean a lot to all of us.
Sign-up
Sheets are available in the Gathering Space, or you can call
the Parish Offices at 582-3833. Check the bulletin for more
details.
A
Specially purchased dedicated Bible will be used for the reading
event, and will be placed in the St. Gregory's archives. This
Bible will be cherished by future generations.
